Nanny Qualifications

Most Postnatal Nannies will come from a nanny or midwifery background. There has
been no formal Postnatal Nanny/Maternity Nurse qualification until recently.
However, these qualifications are now recognised and appropriate to the profession:
- NEST Postnatal Care and Nanny Accreditation
- National Nursery Examination Board Certificate (NNEB)
- National Association of Maternal and Child Welfare
- Midwifery and Nursing Diplomas and Degrees
- BTEC and NVQ in child care
- Maternity Practitioner Award (MTN)
- City and Guilds Caring Services
All of our Postnatal Nannies are required to keep themselves up to date with current research and to have a current First Aid qualification.
