
Postnatal Night Nannies can be provided for parents who are feeling
sleep deprived and exhausted. If you are breast feeding, the Nanny will
bring your baby to you to be nursed, and will then change and settle your
baby so you can go straight back to sleep. If you are bottle feeding,
the Nanny can take over the night feeding so that you can have uninterrupted sleep.
Who is a Postnatal Night Nanny?
A Postnatal Night Nanny is a Professional Baby Nurse who will take care of your baby
at night so you can have that needed sleep. The Nanny will have Child Care Qualifications
or extensive experience in caring for the newborns. Will also have undertaken a paediatric
first aid course and will possess an enhanced criminal records bureau certificate. Will
help you establish a good night routine, will work between 9pm and leave at 7am.
These hours can be flexible if pre-arranged with the night Nanny. She can work between
one and six nights a week.
What does a Postnatal Night Nanny do?
- Will advice you on all breast feeding and bottle feeding aspects.
- Keep detailed records of the night.
- Do night feeds for you to recuperate and a have a decent night sleep, enabling you to cope better in the day.
- Change nappies and settle the baby.
- Give advice on sleep routines.
- Offer strategies on coping with post-natal depression.

Postnatal Night Nanny Salary:
- Single Baby - £8-£13/hour
- Twins - £12-£16/ hour
- Triplets - £14-18/hour
Postnatal Nannies are self-employed and are responsible for their own Tax and National
Insurance Contributions. All our Postnatal Nannies are fully trained and have newborn
baby experience.
